 Here is my solution.

My average intensities are slightly different to those furnished in the output. I think this is because I have calculated the average intensities before implementing each segment with the first point of the following segment.

I guess that the average intensities furnished in the solution have been calculated after implementing each segment with the first point of the following segment.
