I wanted to make it way too complicated to avoid having separate formulas for begin/end times, but ended up just having one formula tool with  a bunch of formulas.

STEP 1: Use the multi-field formula tool to convert the Military time to standard time

STEP 2: Formula tool to get the number of minutes elapsed
