Never realized the the first of month function was only for the current month.

Here's my solution. The challenges for the past few months seem to not present any real challenge, instead a mere distraction from the day. As pointed out, there are even errors in the sample output for this challenge. It would be nice if there were more relevant challenges. Other sites have much more thought provoking challenges (e.g., codeforces, exercism, etc.).
