How to do it as a beginner?

You are looking to build a shape, which tool would help? Read tool names - Poly Build! 🙂

The trick was to know which tool to use next, that comes with no surprise as apart from the Spatial tool palette there are only two tools that can work on those objects!

My solution is the same as many others, however, I found something interesting while checking my results!

To check my answer, I compared the % overlap between my star and the provided solution. It was only 99.8%, so I tried to figure out why. Zooming in, I saw that the provided solution has rounded points! Red = solution, green = mine.

I'm guessing this is a result of using the Buffer tool? Guess we'll see when the solution is posted!

I see that some people went for the easy solution that works because the point are numbered in an alternating fashion. That might not always be the case. Additionally, I might want to create a star with smaller or larger angles! So I decided to turn this into an app where I can configure my star:
