This is really one of the strengths of Alteryx and an area that we should continue to invest in - the ability to do light-weight UIs without having to use code.
As you can see from the solution below - this is super simple in Alteryx - and much more complex in code:

There's also a method to use interface tools as variables - that @patrick_digan is the absolute boss of!
Normally I'd include a python solve too for comparison - but in this case Alteryx makes interfaces easy - otherwise you'd have to build a UI using tk or similar.
