Never used vertical layout.  Very interesting.

Interesting challenge, thank you @Kenda. It took me some time to get used to the vertical layout, but I will definitely try it again.

Seems like I had a relatively novel/compact solution compared to those posted so far!

I'm normally a horizontal user but enjoyed trying vertical for once.  Weird to me to move the log to the right hand side to add to my available space.

Everybody seems to have a different solution. Here is mine:

Hello,

It's my first time submitting an answer and the first time using Alteryx. The magic happens on the formula step.

I also can't use the vertical layout as I don't find them compact enough to fit one screen wherever possible. And if a function to pick the nth lastest value would exist, my solution would be more elegant, in my opinion.

Thank you for the challenge, @Kenda.

Bit of a brute force approach, which works for this small sample, else worth considering a python tool

Edit: much prefer the version with generate rows.

🙂

Don't know whether its the right way but used Generate Rows Tool to get the desired combination output. Anyways the best part, got to learn about the tool.
