Challenge #19: Excel Record Locator

There were file issues when creating the workflow but based on the examples I reviewed, I was able to complete it.

I started doing weekly challenges nearly 2 years ago when I started learning Alteryx but stopped when some specialised training followed by my Alteryx consulting work was helping me learn. Recently I decided to try and do all the Alteryx challenges to see if there are any gaps in my knowledge that I can fill and yesterday I did a lot of beginner challenges.

Challenge 19 was one I found on my computer that I had completed two years ago but had forgotten to submit. However it wasn't very scalable if you did have 100's of xls files so I redid it but kept both solutions here

Solution attached.

Note:

1. to create a new ID grouped by a filed is quite often used.

2. using summarize tool to delete null data is usefull, which also needs to group certain fileds first.

I wouldn't call this a beginner challenge, but nice to see many different solutions.
