Here is my submission; it's really a tough challenge, but happy with the result, slightly different on the human population, but it comes with the same month.

This goes in to the "I didn't get it" folder.  No parts of this challenge made any sense to me.

Compared quite a few answers posted, I don't agree with the original posted solution. As the question states 2 rabbits start at age 0, then it should be 4 month before the first female is mature to reproduce. Most solution I've checked all start to reproduce at first iteration.

So given the wording of the question, I will stick with my solution which achieve double population at 2023-08-02 instead. Also I've used min(MalePop, FemalePop) to calculate reproduction, assume one male cannot reproduce with more than one female at each iteration.
