SUBMIT YOUR IDEAGrid and drill approach :) Just coined this term.
I won't lie, I had to look at someone else's solution to get started. The grid was so essential 😂!!
I used two different methods:
Solution 1, I used recursion with creating smaller and smaller grids but the load time started increasing a lot. I got within 17 meters of Ned but it took over 1 minute to load!
Solution 2, around 10 seconds load time, and within 1.3 meters of Ned. This can definitely be refined. Once you find the distance you are from Ned from a centroid on the grid, you can create a trade circle from that centroid with a radius of however many meters you are from him. This way, one of the points on that trade circle will be super close to Ned (+ a little more logic).
Fun stuff!!
Solution 2: Around 10 seconds load time (using trade circles)
Scruffy picture in paint 😂 ..
Love this, @BS_THE_ANALYST - thanks for sharing the workings. I struggle with spatial so this is really helpful.
A fun challenge, thank you @ChristineB !
Rusty on the spatial tools, that was a good refresher!
