Optimizing Workflows with a Centralized Storage Server

Hi everyone,

I’m currently designing several Alteryx workflows that need to access large datasets shared across multiple teams. To streamline access and maintain consistency, we decided to centralize all our files on a dedicated storage server. This has been a game-changer! Not only does it ensure that everyone works with the same dataset versions, but it also makes scheduling workflows on Alteryx Server much more reliable.

I’m looking for best practices: How do you typically configure connections to a storage server to make workflows portable across different machines? Do you recommend using UNC paths, mapped drives, or environment variables? Also, if anyone has tips on managing permissions and access efficiently for multiple users on a storage server, that would be extremely helpful.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!
