Netsuite ODBC Connection - Audit documentation

Our team is exploring the ODBC connetion between Netsuite and Alteryx - - one concern that came up in our discovery phase is the ability to properly document the connection and various controls around it. I'm not sure if anyone has gone through this process and provided a level of comfort to external auditors, but would appreciate any and all feedback. Thanks!

How are you looking to utilize the data connection? Via the gallery admin portal or via odbc connections by the user (using the dsn) or dsn-less connections? Each of these different ways have different processes but the main thing you'll have to consider is how one user can/can't use the data connection and how it's shared. More than happy to elaborate

If this helps you, please mark solution as resolved so others can find it!

Hey Joshua - thanks for your response. I didn't realize there was more than one way to utilize the data connection. The way we're currently connecting is through Netsuite's Suite Analytics via the ODBC driver and user credentials (using the dsn).

Hi all.

From 2026.01 Netsuite.com is going to be turned off and Netsuite2.com will continue operation.  For that reason odbc-dsn and  SQL related scripts need to be changed as Netsuite2.com has different construction.

Anyone can support or give advice on that?

Thanks
