Collect Team Alteryx Data for Internal KPIs

Hi all! 

I'm actually heading up a CoE and we're building + making great progress on all fronts except for one. Monitoring our users' usage of Alteryx community, getting badges, getting certifications, and overall progress with Alteryx. 

Right now, it's heavily dependent on self-reporting, which evidently leaves a lot of gaps! 

I'm currently pushing for users to sign up for the Maveryx community once the Alteryx license renewal period is here, so that when they renew, we can also capture their Community User ID. 

Is there a way or workflow that scrapes such information so that we can visualize it? It will be very helpful...

I'm trying to use the Download Tool, but once our user base is huge (>200). I don't think Alteryx's download tool can handle that many URLs.

In addition, I'm not sure how to even begin parsing for the information that we need...

P.S: Ive also remembered the time you helped point us to get the weekly challenges completed in a list. Perhaps we can combine that and this?

Hello @caltang I didn't try with 100 users but since we query the page for each one , the more user, the longest the time. But I don't think it will become unusable, just maybe a few minutes. I'm happy you found that helpful, I only took a few minutes to show the principle and it's cool to see you and @ArnaldoSandoval have already improved it (on a sunday :D :D )

Actually, that's the source for the latest workflow, and I agree, a single workflow servicing all these KPIs.

I will combine them, likely in an Analytic App.

Hi @caltang @Qiu @simonaubert_bd 

Following suggestion given in this thread, we enhanced the work flow "Get_Users_Badges_and_Dates" a bit further by adding a second set of results retrieved from the User Profile's Public Statistics, unfortunatelly, the Private Statistic section is not returned by the Alteryx's Download tool so we were not able to include version.

The workflow now returns two Result tables, the screenshots follows:

Users Badges awared:

This table includes all the Badges received by the user, include the date when it was awarded.

User Public Statistics:

These are the User profile public statistics.

User Private Statistics:

The workflow does not include the user private statistics because the Alteryx's Download tool does not return them, probably because the private statistics are dynamically populated by the browser while the Download tool miss dynamic data.

We were able to see them in the browser (Chrome) but they were not present in the Download tool output.

I think for the private stats part, that is something which the Alteryx team can handle and have access to.

I think it is a great work and think it can be a really fun and challenging weekly challenge.
