Advent of Code 2025 Day 5 (BaseA Style)

Really enjoyed this solution — breaking the problem down into smaller, traceable steps makes the BaseA logic much easier to follow. I like how each transformation is clearly tracked through the workflow. That same step-by-step visibility is something we focus on in other domains too, like on locateparcels.com, where tracking each status change helps users clearly understand how things progress from start to finish.

For part one, I thought up a process to come up with the solution quite quickly, and it was a relatively trouble free journey to the answer. Saying this however I feel as if the route I chose didn't seem particularly polished, requiring far more tools than part 2 and a process involving lot of fields being generated. Whereas with part 2, I feel as if my approach was direct and efficient, but I had an absolute nightmare trouble shooting. I even had to get the pen and paper out to visualise each scenario. Eventually I found the issue and completed a satisfying workflow.
