HTML SDK | Challenges with Get/Set Config only

I am trying to create a custom tool using Html + JavaScript. So my use case is on button click I want to add a macro to canvas of alteryx. So, I don't know what statement should I use for this? Or how can I refer alteryx canvas.

Could you please help me out in this? Thanks in advance!!

Hey @RuchikaMangla , 

We don't really provide SDKs for interacting with the canvas the way that a user would. 

As far as macros go, you can create an HTML GUI front-end for a macro that captures the configuration information from the user that you would like to use within the macro itself. Hope this helps!
