Hi, fellow DFW Alteryx User Group members! Please save the date for our upcoming in-person meeting on Friday, November 15th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. We are privileged to host our meeting onsite at the University of Texas at Dallas campus in Richardson, and will feature some excellent guest speakers!
Our first guest speaker is Veda Swaroop Dasagrandhi, Master's student at UT Dallas. His presentation is called, "Empowering Students with Alteryx: Transforming Projects and Preparing for Data-Driven Careers". Veda has provided this excellent overview of the session:
"In my presentation, I’ll explore how Alteryx empowers students with tools for data preparation, analysis, and automation, transforming their academic projects into practical, real-world experiences. By mastering complex data tasks and streamlining workflows, students build critical skills that enhance their career readiness. I’ll also discuss how Alteryx supports faculty in enriching curricula, equipping students with in-demand data skills."
We are excited to hear Veda's engaging presentation and learn more about how Alteryx and the SparkED program have benefitted and influenced numerous students and faculty at UT Dallas!
Next, we welcome one of the newest Alteryx ACEs, Michael Keiffer, back to the DFW stage, where he will continue his presentation from the October meeting, with some cool new topics! Michael will feature how to build Batch Macros, and will create workflows step-by-step to show each tool configuration. He will also feature an Analytic App that inputs hundreds of files, and combines them into one file. Join us to see the ACE techniques in action!
For those who are not able to attend in person, the meeting will also be hybrid and hosted on Zoom. Please click "Register" at the top right of this page, and the link will be provided upon registration.
For all who can attend, this will be a great opportunity to network with like-minded Alteryx fans, so bring your business cards! Refreshments will be provided, and a parking pass is attached to this post. Please place the pass visibly on your vehicle dashboard, and parking is allowed in any Purple parking area. A parking map is available at this link: Parking Map . Please note: Purple parking is also available in the main parking garages noted on the map, such as PS1.
The meeting will be held classroom-style (and feel free to bring your laptops) in Room 1.508 in the JSOM (Naveen Jindal School of Management) building. A satellite map is attached, showing the parking garage PS1 at the top right, and the JSOM building at the bottom left. The walkway from the parking garage to the JSOM building is highlighted, and free parking is available in the PS1 parking garage. (Please see the Parking Map link above.)
Thank you to UT Dallas for generously hosting our user group meeting, and we look forward to seeing you there!
