Hi, everyone!  Just a reminder to join us for the upcoming Dallas / Fort Worth Alteryx User Group virtual meeting, which will be this Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.!  With the holiday season approaching, and many holidays to celebrate in December, we have moved the meeting up a couple of weeks from the last Friday of the month.

For this next meeting, we are excited to feature Mark Connolly, Program Director, Business Intelligence, and Ania Szeszko, Analytics Engineer, Data Science and Analytics, at the University Chicago Medicine Center!  Their presentation is titled, "Driving Alteryx Adoption at UChicago Medicine – Governance and Clinical Analytics Use Cases".

In this presentation, Mark and Ania will show how UChicago Medicine encountered challenges with early Alteryx adoption and addressed these through a focused data governance approach. This session shares how those efforts supported broader adoption across analytics – highlighting examples of how their Clinical Analytics team in particular has now been able to leverage Alteryx for real-world use cases and requests.

Our next guest speaker will be Alteryx ACE Claire McCollough, and she will present a cool solution created for the Advent of Code annual event, using Alteryx!  In keeping with the holiday season, we are excited to feature how Claire approaches the annual Advent of Code event from a "Base A" or "Alteryx only" point of view!  To learn more about Advent of Code, which is an advent calendar coding challenge that happens each December, please visit About - Advent of Code 2024 .  To see the daily challenges posted so far, click on each of the day numerals in the following link:  Advent of Code 2024

We look forward to hearing Mark and Ania's insightful presentation, and learning more about how to solve programming puzzles from an ACE point of view with Claire!

To reserve your spot, please RSVP by clicking "Register" at the top right of our calendar events page at DFW Alteryx User Group December 2024 Virtual Meeti... - Alteryx Community .  A Zoom link will be sent to you upon registration.

Hi, fellow Maveryx!  Thank you to all who joined us for our December Dallas/Fort Worth Alteryx User Group meeting!  We had excellent guest speakers and presentations, and it was a privilege to have Mark Connolly and Ania Szeszko from the University of Chicago Medicine Center speak about how they enabled adoption of Alteryx throughout their large organization, and obtained participation from other entities within the wide-ranging system.  They also discussed how they utilize governance as a central key to facilitating user involvement, plus ensure ongoing support through weekly meetings.

Mark and Ania also described how they utilize Alteryx for various processes and governance tasks, such as understanding and documenting data lineages.  In addition, they spoke about how they manage and prioritize the numerous incoming requests and projects, along with plans for the future.  Thank you, Mark and Ania, for an insightful and valuable discussion!

Next, we featured Alteryx ACEs Pat Hottovy and Claire McCollough, and how they approach coding challenges in the annual Advent of Code event!  It was fascinating to see how they analyzed the problem, then creatively came up with solutions - in brilliant ways!  Claire and Pat, we appreciate you giving us a glimpse into how the ACE mind works to generate, test, and resolve the coding challenges - all with using only Alteryx!
