Improve write performance

I am trying to "delete;append" to a sharepoint list from an alteryx workflow in server and it appears to be very slow taking atleast 3 hours, not different from designer. I also tried doing an update instead of "delete;append" and it takes same amount of time. Is this is common when dealing with sharepoint write? Any tips/tricks much appreciated.

I would think its a firewall if I see failure errors or 0 export. Data is exporting but very slow. N/W or Latency issues.
