HI,
I am having to redo google client id, secret and refresh token in my google analytics workflows as my google user ID was helpfully deleted by my IT department.
Anyway , i am using the help pages on the community, and they seem to bear little relation to the pages i am seeing on the screen. I am guessing this MIGHT be because google has changed things since they were written.
the main one is this, https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Designer-Knowledge-Base/The-How-to-Guide-to-Google-Analytic...
I would be very grateful if someone could tell me how on earth to do it.

Did you end up getting this figured out? This article may help a bit more: https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Designer/How-to-enable-Google-Analytics-APIs-for-OAuth2/ta-...
Hi,
thanks for checking up on this, and no i did not.
the screen shots eventually differ from what i see on my screen, so eventually i just lose the will to live and give up
i have zero idea what OATH and developers consoles are, so i am just blindly clicking as I have no sense of what is happening on the screen or is supposed to be happening, so i dont know what is "wrong" to make it right!
@markstephens the article that I linked in my previous post should be a bit more updated (March 2020 I believe) so I think that the steps in my link should be closer to the actual screens you will see. You can think of OAuth as another kind of credential authentication that works a little different than a username/password.
HI
ive got to the bit on the nested link on how to create client id and seceret, and the screen shot on the guidance says Sekect "Others" and name application. Shot below
I dont get that!
i get the following options, none of which are "other"
Hello @markstephens ,
Thank you for your perseverance. (And thank you @BrandonB for helping!) You are correct in that Google has changed various times their console and how credentials are created. The application type should now be "Desktop App". This is the most up to date article:
If you want to learn about the new Connection token functionality you may also want to review this article as this functionality allows you to get less refresh tokens from Google:
Lastly please do not hesitate to contact Alteryx Support. We would be happy to help with using the Google Analytics Connector.
Have a great week,
