copying workflow and changing data src error

i have this workflow:

it works fine and all i want to do is update the db src connections from prod to dev using the drop down box: 

after i do this, the work flow still works but not correctly. i have parameter selections that change the sql query based on the select value but after changing to the dev environment, the replace function in the selection tools dont seem to work. the query doesnt seem to change. obviously i can just rebuild from scratch, but just wondering if im doing something wrong. any ideas?

I would double check your action tool configuration. It is likely that you don't have the right piece of the tool configuration that is being updated.
