Transposing/Pivoting Stacked Column Data

Hi all,

I attached some sample data of the formatting of the original data and the desired output. To start, I tried to get to the desired output by just using the Username and email, and was able to do so via the attached workflow. However, not having any luck on figuring out how to apply to the rest of the data. Any ideas?

Hi @lomeoari ,

I was able to get the data in the desired format. See attached.

Hope this helps!

Hi @lomeoari ,

Whenever I have data in a single workbook that is shaped differently I follow a process like this:

  1. Group the rows into record numbers. In your case, that means finding a way to group every row associated with User name AB123 into a single record number, and every row associated with user name CD456 into a different record number.
  2. Separate the differently shaped data into two different sets
  3. Get both sets of data into the same shape
  4. Blend back together

I attached an example here - let me know if this works for you!

Hey @lomeoari ,

Not my proudest workflow, but it does the job 😁
