Text Box - Variable Input

Hello,

I am using the Text Box tool to have users to input tax year but the value is not populating in the Formula tool with either the default value in Text Box or the test value I input through running the Analytic app within the workflow. Attached is my simplified example input file and workflow. Could someone be kine to take a look and let me know what I missed.
