Sum fields after a filter

Hi All,

I have a dataset that has specific package related charges and adjustment charges denoted by a column called ispackage. I want to be able to add the values into cost columns (there are multiple for each type of charge) from the adjustment charges based on a tracking number to the base package charges. I've used the filter tool to create subsets of the data on the ispackage column, but I'm having difficulties when I try to bring the data back together again and do the sums.

Any suggestions?

Hi Rob,

It's hard to track exactly what you mean here without some sample data. Could you please share.

Here's the sample data.I want to be able to match on tracking number and then sum cost related fields (everything freight and after). I thought about doing a join->union ->formula tool but I want to try and avoid writing 15 different formulas if possible since I'm running this through ~2 million records

i'm still not 100% sure what you are looking to do with the data you have sent. However the most common way to prevent writing several calculated fields is by using the transpose tool to pivot your data.

Here is where I am at to this point. Let me know if i'm heading in the right direction or not.
