Hello, I wonder if anyone can help me or point me in the right direction please. This is so simple and I am embarrassed to have to ask, but I have not looked at Alteryx since before Christmas...
Data, per project, per RM. I need to summarise together certain cost element values, per RM
Project | RM Version | Cost Element | Sum_EAC |
GB01T20A56 | RM0001 | H10 | 158628.5 |
GB01T20A56 | RM0001 | PA10 | 3500 |
GB01T20A56 | RM0001 | PER | 71794.32 |
GB01T20A56 | RM0001 | T20 | 1625 |
GB01T20A56 | RM0002 | H10 | 158628.5 |
GB01T20A56 | RM0002 | PA10 | 3500 |
GB01T20A56 | RM0002 | PER | 71807.98 |
GB01T20A56 | RM0002 | T20 | 1625 |

I need per Project, per RM the sum of PER;PA10 and call it ‘Own Costs’, then sum of all other cost elements and call it ‘Other Costs’.
GB01T20A56 RM0001 Own Costs = 75,294.32
GB01T20A56 RM0001 Other Costs = 160,253.50
GB01T20A56 RM0002 Own Costs = 75,307.98
GB01T20A56 RM0002 Other Costs = 160,253.50
I’ve tried so many combinations but I just cannot do it!
Any help you can provide would be amazing and I will kick myself as it will be simple I am sure. Excel datasource attached, there are more RM’s in the data source.
Thank you so much
Lorna

Hi @LornaB74
You would be looking at using the Summarize tool to group by those columns and sum the value column. Using the filter before it to separate the different categories.
Let us know if you need any additional help.
Pedro.
Thank you !
Thank you so much, that's great
