Sharepoint connection - Connection to platform was not successful

Hi,

 

I want to connect a SharePoint to Alteryx.

 

I create the whole connection and I can see the file of the Sharepoint, but as soon as I run the WF I have an error saying: Connection to Platform was not successful. Does somebody has a solution for that?

 

Here the configuration of the Sharepoint is in the attachment. I really do not know what to do. I´ve been in contact with my IT and they told me to come to this community to ask...hope you can help me.

 

and I configure the file with xlsx....

 

so, you can see that I have access to the file, but somehow I can not run it...many thanks for your help.

Hi, I did exactly what is saying to do (at the end)  but is still not working...I dont know else what to do..now I got another error....Failed to authenticate...

 

Any other ideas???

  1. Delete the SharePoint tool folders found under either (or both) of these Tool directories:
    • C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Alteryx\Tools
    • C: \ProgramData\Alteryx\Tools
  2. Delete or rename the files/folders in this directory: C:\Users\<username>\.shiv
  3. Reinstall the connector by rerunning the .yxi install file

If you were able to load the interface and the file list at least (it seems that maybe this is true since you tried running the workflow), then this IS an IT issue now in my view. The connection can be set up by them with the credentials they require

Hi, I tried with the normal input tool and is working now! 

 

very un-complicated....with the normal input tool...

 

my IT department told me that only the Alteryx community could help...cause they could not find the problem.

Yes that assumes you have the folders synced which is good - I find the normal input tool much easier to use then as well!

 

If your IT department can't help set up keys & connections, I'd be a bit worried 😅 the Community as well is people volunteering to help answer questions, so Alteryx Support is a good avenue as well
