New column from existing column

Hi! Very new to alteryx and hoping someone can help.

 

I am trying to create a formula or use a tool that states something like this:

 

If column one contains the words "Section*" (noting it could be Section 1, Section 2, etc) bring it to a new column.

 

Then I would like to say in the new column:

If the row is blank pull down the input from the row above.

 

I can't share the data because its client work but really hope this makes sense to someone 😞 

 

Any help on which tools to use would be so greatly appreciated.

Oh my goodness this helped so much! However, the Multi-Row Formula tool isn't working. It isn't getting rid of the Null Values. Do you have to specify anything else in the Expression?

Hi @nmoverby are you creating a new column or updating an existing one as in my example in the multirow tool i'm updating an existing column I created in the formula tool.
