Know how to output a file that PowerBI can ingest that preserves the field descripions?

I'm looking for a way to output my workflow to a file that PowerBI can ingest, where the field names AND field descriptions are preserved.

currently I use .csv or .xls but the field descriptions are lost.

any ideas?

have you tried  ".yxdb"?

as far as I can tell, .yxdb files are not ingestible into PowerBI.

what are you referring to when you say field descriptions? Currently we output to csv for ingestion into powerBI, because the PowerBI output doesn't preserve data type. I'm not really clear on what you mean by field descriptions.

@craigedelman, are the field descriptions in your current Alteryx flow still visible? Meaning you haven't made any changes to them while running the flow? I don't think you can upload an Alteryx flow into Power BI directly.
