How to make macro input from a non input tool

On this snippet below, my requirement is that , the append tool onwards needs to be inside a macro. How do I configure the filter tool's O/P to be taken as an one of the input for the append tool inside the macro

the quick way:

use a text input tool on a new canvas. put a value of 1 inside (or something). convert it to a macro input.

the schematically consistent  way -

put a browse tool after your filter tool

run your workflow

copy the contents of your browse tool into a text input tool on a new canvas

turn that into a macro input.
