How to extra Shapefile through ODBC Database from PostgreSql

Why is it that when I connect to a PostgreSQL database using Alteryx, I am unable to extract a Shapefile from the source, even though it contains data?

What Postgres driver are you using? I think that historically the 9.3 driver didn't work well with Spatial Objects, but 9.2 did. Not sure about later versions, but would be worth testing out another driver version. This was back in 2015 so not sure if it still holds true.
