Data pulling from In database tools differently for same program but different users

Hi,

I have a workflow where is use a Dynamic Input In-DB to send in SQL with dates changes. The data then streams out to be used by the rest of the workflow. Now I have two users who run the exact same workflow. On user 1 the cycledate is V_WString and on user 2 the cycledate is a date. Again they are running the exact same program on the shared drive with a named Alteryx connection string. The only difference is the Alteryx version. One is a version behind. Has anyone seen this before? I am having them sync to the same version, but it still seems odd because it worked for both a week ago.

@Trich it looks like that in the newer versions, the actual table schema is brought over to Designer.

Hmmm the earlier version is the one with the date format that matches the schema. We are puzzled
