Check if folder exists before creating

Any suggestions on how to check to see if a folder exists before attempting to create it?

I noticed the Directory tool will not list folders that are empty when searching all folders, all files.

I have workflows that create folders but want to bypass folder creation if it is not needed.

You can use a formula tool to check the existence of a folder:

FileExists([Field1])

This can then be filtered on before creating as needed
