I am pretty new to Alteryx.
I am using a dynamic input that is linked to a database. The database has a ton of data in it and I would like to use the Visual Query Builder's Criteria to limit the data that is run. I would like to limit the criteria based on a field called TradeDate, which is a date-based field. I would like to be able to use the criteria on this field to be the first and last day of a month. This is my first question, as I am not sure how to do this.
My second question relates to the first in that I would like to set up the query and modify the the SQL Query to replace the first and last date in the criteria in a way that would allow a user to run the app for any one month period of time. I planned to do this by using the date selection with an action tool that feeds into a text input that feeds again into the dynamic input and use the modify SQL query to replace the string of text in the criteria with the newly input date; however, again, I am not sure how to do this with both the first and second date in the criteria.
Any help would be appreciated.
