I am trying to apply a row rule to left justify the Header for a table that will be pushed to Excel. I thought the option was available to apply formatting to the headers in the new release, but I just downloaded the newest version 2021.1 and do not see this option available. I saw a workaround to push the headers down into the first row, but I have 27 outputs and and looking for a more efficient solution. Any other options available?
@MistyClark05 Can you send us a simplified version of your workflow and sample data if possible, so we can easily test on our end?
@MistyClark05 I am not able to reproduce the issue:
I tested it and it worked fine:
- I created a Rule for a Field of my table and the Justification I selected was applied fine.
- Also, for the Header, in the Report Text tool I highlighted the whole text and clicked the "Align Left" button and the text was aligned left, so it worked too.
Sorry for the delayed response!
I am able to left justify the data in a column, but the data I am trying to left justify is in Row #1 (I also have column A left justified, which is working as expected). When I try to create a row rule, it left justifies the actual data in Row 2. Also the headers are coming through from the data source, I am not using a Report Text tool to create them.
Not sure if you ever found a solution, but I think this solves your issue:
