Our spook-tacular Community Halloween 2024 Event is running from October 28th to November 1st! This year, we’ve conjured up a week of activities, challenges, and surprises that will keep you on your toes.
Below you will find descriptions and links for each activity. And there’s a special badge for participating--complete activities from at least two categories below to earn one!
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your Alteryx skills, dive into a bit of ghost hunting, or simply want to enjoy the Halloween spirit, there's something for everyone in our community. Check out the lineup below and join the fun!
Academy: Halloween Challenge and Quest
Do you dare to take on our Halloween Challenge and Quest? This special event is designed to test your skills and immerse you in the Halloween spirit. Our Academy pages have lots of themed content, ready for you to explore! Challenge yourself with the themed Weekly Challenge and Cloud Quest to show off your Alter-skills.

Certification: Spooky Quizzes and Decorations
This Halloween, Alteryx Certification is getting into the festive spirit with two fun quizzes to test your scary good Designer skills! The Ghoul’s Candy Gauntlet quiz and the Costume Combination Conundrum will keep you awake at night in terror of not having what it takes to pass.

Mission Control: Ghost Hunt Extravaganza
Join the fun this Halloween with Alteryx’s Ghost Hunt! You will be tasked with finding three hidden ghosts haunting Mission Control. As you explore, your cursor will transform into a ghost gun when a ghost is near, allowing you to capture these mischievous spirits. Progress is tracked on the screen, and once all three ghosts are found, you can report your ghost-hunting success to count towards the badge!

User Groups: Haunted Quiz Challenge
Take on a quiz that requires a deep dive into our User Group resources. This 6-question challenge will take you on a journey through various sections of the User Group page, uncovering hidden gems along the way. It’s a great way to explore what the User Groups have to offer while engaging in some Halloween-themed fun. (Tip: some of the questions may benefit from an internet search engine)! 👀

Alteryx IO: Tarot Card API Fortune-Telling
Are you ready to uncover your fortune? All will be revealed using a Tarot Card API! Call the API to reveal a tarot card that holds your personalized fortune. Will it be a card of good fortune, love, money or perhaps a warning? Embrace the spirit of the season, and let’s see what the cards have in store for you!

Community: Bats, Riddles, and Mysteries
Something spooky has been happening in the Alteryx Community! Witches and Wizards have invaded, leaving bats and riddles all over the place. Your mission is to follow their tracks through the riddles left behind in articles they’ve visited. Once you find their hideout, we can banish them for another year. It’s a fun way to explore the community and help us restore peace before the end of the Halloween season.
Are you up to the challenge of solving these Halloween mysteries? Once you've uncovered all the riddles, comment on this blog with the final riddle location in a spoiler tag. 🦇
