You’ve asked. You’ve left us feedback. You’ve possibly beta tested. Now it’s finally here - NEW AND IMPROVED SEARCH

With new search facets, you can filter down even more to find what you're looking for. 

 

For case portal users, you will now be auto-suggested relevant content to potentially surface relevant content to help solve your issue. If you scroll past the community results, you'll also see relevant Help Documents.

 

This updated federated search will also allow you to search a variety of Alteryx content: 

  • All Content - searches all of the content types listed below
  • Community - searches all of the content on https://community.alteryx.com/
  • Help Docs - searches everything on https://help.alteryx.com/
  • YouTube - search for all of the Alteryx Youtube content 
  • Users - search for specific users on the Alteryx community
  • Private Messages - search all of your private messages

 

Our search will also learn what's relevant and prioritize those results to help our search improve as time goes on. 

 

Click on the Search Tips icon on the right side of the screen to get some helpful hints and tricks.

Use Cases
We have modified the Use Case filter to allow you to save the filters. When selecting filters, you’ll notice that the filter parameters are added to the URL. This will allow you to send a direct URL to your filtered Use Case list to another person or bookmark the link. Additionally, when you click into a Use Case after setting filters, when you click “back” in your browser - it will return you to the filtered list you previously created.

Farewell Community Lounge, Hello General Discussions
In order to align with our updates to the community to be interaction style based, we’ve created two new spaces in the community.

  1. Introduce Yourself - this is where you can introduce yourself (even if you’ve been here for a while!
  2. General Discussions - this is where all community related or other general (non-product) related questions, discussions, or interactions will now live. 


Community Performance 
In addition to the Use Case performance improvements, our team spent a significant amount of time refactoring code to improve the overall performance of the community. If you notice any areas that you think could be improved, please don't hesitate to let us know. 

Miscellaneous Bug Fixes and Updates

  • Adjusted alignment of navigation bar to match the community header
  • Fixed an issue where avatars were misaligned in user groups in mobile view
  • Addressed a bug with group private messages
  • Fixed multiple Portuguese translations
  • Updated the social media icons in the footer of the Japanese community
  • Fixed issue where the category page "cards" bled into one another 
  • Updated link to Welcome and Getting Started in the footer of the Portuguese community 
  • Improved Interactive Lessons by adding a "Back to Lessons" button
