I'd suggest you start with the Academy, specially the learning paths. Talking about challenges: once you are familiar with the basics, you should try to weekly challenges, a great way to improve your skills. 

You can also review the content and ask questions on the Designer forum. Don't hesitate to ask if you need anything!
