Welcome! I'd suggest taking a look at the learning paths/interactive lessons first. They are all relatively short and will give you a good foundation. Once you're comfortable I'd suggest checking out some of the weekly challenges to get work through some practical applications of Alteryx. 

Then you should be equipped to take a stab at the core certification.
