So this challenge annoyed me a little as I just couldn't get the numbers to be right 😅 eventually sorted it but this challenge is a great example of presenting data in the way that is most favourable rather than truly representing what is happening.

My comments on the data:

I was getting lower numbers than the challenge suggested, and it's down to me using Count_Distinct over count. So I did a dive into the data, of the 6494 adoptions, only 5981 unique animals were adopted, and out of that 479 didn't get permanently adopted, with 123 having a negative outcome.

So really there 5502 adoptions, which I might bump up to 5728 if we assume those that have returned for treatment will go back to the family that adopted them. 😞
