Liked the challenge, but i like the idea of making it tougher by adding in brackets payable up to certain amounts i.e. how taxable income functions in the UK.

I included the exclusions that it mentioned in the paragraph so my answer is a little different, however, if I did not include the exclusions my answer would have been the same.  It was a good puzzle to figure out.
