I'm a little confused about why the starting hotel spatial point is not the same as the previous day's hotel destination.  It's like the technician (note the explanation uses singular technician, not plural technicians).  It seems like the technician is going to sleep in one hotel and waking up in a different hotel on days 2 and 3.  Anyway, i made the choice to not count the distance from hotel where the technician went to bed, to the hotel where the technician apparently woke up.
