Most of my time was spent trying to manage multiple layers from one input to the Report Map tool. I finally gave up and produced a solution, but I will be searching for a technique in other people's answers.
As it turns out, the Refresh link within the Map tool did not provide accurate results. You must run the workflow again each time to see the desired results. I did not see this indicated anywhere in documentation <cough>devteam</cough>.
Making those points on the map is less straightforward than I thought - the grouping field was obviously not what I thought it suppose to be 😀
