Challenge #21: Date Reformatting

Tried my bit. Solved this with a different angle and found that it is different from the main solution

This is my first challenge here in Alteryx  and I found out one thing that challenges never get old.

I'll be honest, I fought with this one for a few.  I just didn't want to believe it would be that straight forward 🙂

My solution is below.

I took a different approach than the posted solution.  I split the dataset using sampling tool, 1st 12 and last 12 records, added a record id that matched the month number (1=Jan, 2=Feb, etc.).  Used the lookup table to populate the MMM value and then a formula tool to add the year.  Then unioned the two data streams back together.
