I scrolled through some of the other posted solutions and I must admit mine isn't the simplest. I love seeing how everyone else approaches the same problem, though. I definitely learned a lot from everyone on this one!

I included the initial solution into a batch macro that reads all .xls files from a directory and solves the requests. It was tested using 5 copies of the original .xls files and it runs with no errors.

Solution attached.  EDIT: I guessed there were better ways to do this and after looking through other solutions, I had to redo this with a shorter technique.  It is the solution at the bottom of the workflow image.

I tried to use dynamic input to solve this, but I couldn't find the option to include file name as a field.

The Input Data tool is more powerful than I thought!
