Challenge #184: Closest Pubs to Tobacco Dock

I couldn't help but chuckle reading through the thread at how everyone else did the river split using fancy spatial tools. I just used the data provided, added some context from the real world, and got the task finished quick so I can get out from behind the keyboard and into a pub!

Nice one, pretty straight forward. Parsed the lat/long points and then buffered the 1km radius. Did a spatial match for the in/out pubs then used the Borough name in the Map Report tool to categorize the results into north and south of the River Thames.

Does anyone have a list of pubs for New Orleans?  I'd like to plan for next June...

Seems that the solution was with distance < 1mile, this was my first challenge, very interesting and useful for my job

I don't normally post my answers to these but I thought this one might be of some use to someone. I decided to have a go a building a custom polygon that intersected the Thames and took only the bit north of the river. Hopefully there is an easier way of doing this than my method! Looking forward to rolling that out as a question to my tutor in the spatial analytics class at inspire.

I initially was working on filtering out the points south of the river with spatial tools but realized I could accomplish that by filtering out the borough of Southwark instead.
