Thanks for your solution, I have learned few new things, however your solution doesn't work in case of dynamic inputs - . Have added 4th dice and it is not working as expected.

flaw I have observed:

1. Static column picking while finding the sum. instead of static use Min,max and median to achieve this.

Its more of a math challenge! I love it 

Looking at the question even before solving i thought it to be 42. But while i solve what is the highest combination of values is the question.
