Here is my solution.  It might be a bit simplistic.  It looks nothing like the posted solution.

Here is my solution. Upon running, the select configuration(and the embedded select in the join tool) kept auto-filling my right inputs with the "right" prefix in the rename field box. Had to run and use another select tool to rename at the end before a browse tool. Any explanations as to why please?
