Monitor File Availability

Hi,

Does Alteryx have any out-of-the-box file watching capability so that a workflow could be triggered when input file(s) become available?

Hi @JohnL248 

Nothing out of the box. A lot of people schedule their workflows to run at an appropriate interval on the server to pick up any new files that may be there. There are also APIs that you could use to call the server through some other file listener. The below thread might be helpful

Workflow Admin Manager (WAM), available from Alteryx as an add-on, can watch for files and kick off a single or series of workflows.
