Excel File and Sheet Selection Problems in Alteryx App

Hello Alteryx Community,

My organization is encountering an issue where, when a user browses for an Excel file using the File Browse on our analytic app, no Excel files appear under the 'All data files' format. Users need to change the File Format to 'All files' to see Excel files.

If we select Arbitrary File Specification and set '.xlsx' on the File Browse tool, the sheet selection view does not appear.

This issue seems to have started after updating to version 2024.1.1.49

I'm wondering if there is any solution to this problem.

I want the File Browse tool to show Excel files without any additional steps, and also for the sheet selection view to show up correctly.

Not a solution, but may help you with troubleshooting. I do not have this issue with 2023.1.1.306 Patch 4. I suspect this a bug with version you are running.

Hello Brolin, I haven't reported this issue to Alteryx support.

I managed to avoid this issue by using a different version (2023.2).
