My workflow at the point of completion
I made probably 5 different iterative macros trying to work out part 2. And ultimately had the answer all along.
I was calculating each possible path, and then doing a count. This was a bad idea as it crashed Alteryx and would have run for a *very* long time.
It took me giving in and looking at @CoG's solution to see that all I needed was to do a count of paths per position within each iteration and there was my answer
Anyway here'e my final workflow, which I know can be optimised (probably with just the 1 macro), but I've been wrestling with this for 4 days, so I'm not going to do that
