Hi Dublin User Group Members,
Thanks again to those who attended our 3rd User Group Meeting in Dublin.
As part of our Alteryx for Good project, we will be building a database of Census data so our chosen non-profit organisation can analyse national trends and see if these trends will (or are already!) impacting the services they provide.
In the coming weeks, we will track our progress and divide the workload here in the User Group. Let us know if you're interested in helping!
As a taster of the work involved, I have attached a simple workflow which inputs the "Small Area" statistics from the 2011 Republic of Ireland Census and allows the user to filter the statistics from particular "Small Areas" using the Map interface tool.
Have a nice weekend,
Ollie

Hi Dublin User Group,
Motivated by Tony's talk at our last User Group meeting, I used Alteryx to clean up the Ireland Census 2011 and Census 2016 county-level statistics and to then map the 2011 statistics to the 2016 statistics. The end result can be explored in this Tableau Public dashboard:
https://public.tableau.com/profile/ollie8240#!/vizhome/Census2016versusCensus2011/Census2016
Attached are the Alteryx workflows I used to clean the CSO.ie downloads and to map the 2011 statistics to the 2016 statistics.
