In other programming environments, I had access to a list of
Filename, Program Name, Input or Output Indicator
I modified a macro a while back to serve this purpose for our Alteryx workflows.
The workflow calls the macro, which reads a file called "Cross-Reference List*.xlsx" It has a header of "file_path" and it contains the list of workflows you are interested in finding input and outputs.
It outputs a file called "Cross-Reference.csv" with the above mentioned fields, specifically I called them:
Filename, Workflow, InOut
Most of our use case is regarding .xlsx files, I'm not 100% sure how this will scale to other inputs and output types.
I have found this helpful, and I thought I would share it with the community.
